Here is my attempt at a conversion from color to black and white. I know I didn't do it the right way and eventually I will learn who to use CS4 to do it the right way. Anyway, once I converted to B/W, his freckles just completely popped out!

Dot, I think it's a great photo! This week was my first attempt at B&W conversion, so I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing either. I did play with filters a bit and then just reverted to the original.
But I have been trying to view every entry to try to figure out what I like about each shot. It will be awhile before I get it all figured out, too. That's why I'm here--to learn and improve!
