We hadn't seen the sun in quite a few days here but today she was a welcome sight for me. I just wish I didn't have the power lines in my path. I tried to head out to a local park just around dinnertime to catch the sunset in an open area but the insurance company came to assess the damage to our basement just when I was ready to head out. Thus, while they were in our basement setting up huge fans and dehumidifiers, rolling up our rug to take away to be clean, I stood in our driveway next to their truck and snapped a few photos for Skywatch Friday. Sometimes you have to take them when you can get them. I missed a beautiful sunset tonight when I couldn't find my camera. By the time I did, it was gone. Yours are very beautiful, even with power lines.

Those are gorgeous! I am a sucker for a pretty sky, but usually miss the sunsets since I'm driving home at the same time. I hope I can capture a lot more in the Summer when the days are longer.

Sorry your hot water heater went out at an inopportune time. But then, I guess no time is good. Not so good when it soaks everything, though. I admire your dedication in getting out to see the sunset in spite of difficulties. You really took some nice shots from right in your yard. Beautiful pink color coming through.
