Autumn's Last Hurrah

Isn't this time of year magnificent? Three of the shots taken on my street and in front of my home were taken on a drizzly day. The colors still came out rather nice despite the lack of sunshine.

Although this time of year heralds the coming of a bleak landscape in the not too distant future, I still love and appreciate the vibrancy of the fall foliage.

If anybody has any suggestions for what I could do to improve these, please let me know as I am eager to learn how to capture good shots and also to edit them.

Happy Fall!

I think they look great. I like the 'tilt' picture. :)

These are the kind of photos I love !
I can almost smell the wet leaf scent blending in the nippy air with tangy chimney smoke.
I want to walk through those leaves ,kicking my feet to stir them back to life if only for a moment.
We have very little color here in So Cal, we just go from the hot bright green summer to the hot crunchy brown Fall to the cool sparse days of winter.
Good job on all of the photos, no improvement needed.
My favorite is the street scene, so pretty I saved it to my desktop, hope that is OK with you!

I was going to say how beautiful they look...we have barely any autumn color left here so I am loving the gorgeous colors you caught in your photos.

Very, very nice!

Janis, I'm flattered you used the photo for your desktop! Thanks.

Most of the leaves pictured are laying on the ground now. Our autumn foliage was very brief this year.

I still have very red leaves on my Japanese maple but it looks like rain today so I am assuming those leaves will be tumbling down too.

Thanks, girls, for stopping by my blog!

Those are gorgeous photos. We had a big rain storm and all the pretty leaves are gone. Many are still green, so hopefully we'll have more color soon!

Beautiful, vibrant colors! I love the golds and reds. My favorite is the berries (?) photo.

Such beautiful colors! I wish I got to experience a true fall where I live. Since I don't, I really enjoying seeing everyone else's pictures. KV
