I Heart Faces, Self-Portrait

Maneuvering an SLR camera around in one hand to take one's self-portrait is no easy feat but I did manage, after about sixty-seven shots, to get my face in it! I also was trying to obtain a sketch-like quality to this photo.

Be sure to go on over to I Heart Faces so you can finally see the faces of the women (and men too) behind the lenses!!

I love the sketching effect! It's hard trying to hold a big camera in one or two hands to get a good picture of yourself!

Love the effect!

Yes, balancing a camera in one hand while trying to look all natural and beautiful is not an easy task. Well done oh natural, beautiful one!

I got lucky with my el-cheapo camera, easy to take a self portrait. I can't imagine trying to manage a big camera. I'd be terrified of dropping it! Great pic. Did you do that with ink sketch? I love it!! GREAT JOB!!

This is a cool pic, Dot. I'm chuckling a bit at how many tries you took before getting this one. My photo session ended without getting a good shot, so I'm going to try again later. I'm thinking I may just use my trusty point & shoot for this assignment though.

This was the one time I was wishing that I had a point-and-shoot camera. It was so hard to get a good shot with the big, heavy one.

Love the sketching effect beautiful lady. :) Really unique and clever.

This is so unique! Thanks for sharing! And...I love that all of your family has freckles! I used to love my freckles when I was little, but they seem to have faded as I've gotten older!

I like the neat effect you used. What program did you use to make the edits?

Cool editing effect! I decided to enter with the same self portrait I used for a recent 365 shot. :) My point and shoot was enough of a challenge. You got a good picture of yourself!

The sketch effect is really cool. I love sketching by hand and this is something that looks quite similar... very nice.
