Skywatch Friday

There are many moments that I wish we lived in a less populated neighborhood. The houses/trees manage to obscure my view of many celestial happenings. However, I was able to capture the sky at sunset the other night and although there's lots of distraction in my shot from houses and foliage on my block, the sky still looked breathtaking to me.

I do want to get up early one day and take a sunrise photo from park nereby but now that the weather is so cold, I'm having great difficulty in motivating myself to do this. It is, however, on my list of "things to do"....that list is ever growing!

Make sure you go to Skywatch and see all of the great photos of the sky from all around the world. They are truly awesome!

I also would love to get a sunrise photo Dot...but I am NOT a morning person. I'm not sure if I'll ever reach that goal!

Your photo is lovely ~ the deep blues are beautiful.

Morning is not a friend to me. I stumble into the kids' rooms at 6 a.m., send them off to school, then it's back to bed til a decent hour. :)

Hi Dot! Thats a beautiful sky! I love the colors.

The banner picture on my blog is a sunrise... not a sunset. :-) Being on the east coast of Florida for a weekend, I thought I'd take advantage of the opportunity to capture a sunrise (I'm on the west coast, and only see sunrises... over the water, that is.)

As for the blog address. I have that taken care of. When we're finally settled up there, I'll post a final blog on my "paminflorida" blog with the new blog address... www.pamthemountaineer.blogspot.com. :-D

Beautiful morning colors, Dot! I'm not a morning person either ~ thanks for sharing a view from your part of the world! I did see the alignment of Jupiter, Venus and the Moon one evening this week. :)

It reminds me of the sky early this morning in the very crisp single digits...clear with stars. If it weren't for the beauty of the sky, I may have walked back into the house and said "forgetaboutexercise!"

Blessings,

Very nice shot - did you make a wish?

Hello again Dot. I noticed that you became a follower of my blog. I wanted to say that I am honestly and truly honored.

Stay tooned!!

Yes, Rick. I did make a wish (three actually)- the same wishes I've made on every star and every time I visit a new church since I had my first child.

Thanks for visiting again. I looked through some of your 'toons and they are incredible! I need a whole day to go through all of your older blog entries!
