Interesting Hair-Do/First Vlog

Back in the summer of 2007, we spent a week in Colonial Williamsburg/Busch Gardens/Water Country USA!It was one of the best vacations ever - we truly had a blast.

One of the highlights was our visit with these colorful laurokeets. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed it...until it got a tad out of hand. It's reminiscent of a scene from that old Alfred Hitchcock movie, The Birds!

She was perfectly fine - just a bit stunned for a minute or two. They became transfixed on the rubber band in her hair and her ponytail!!

It was a wonderful time and she actually got another cup of nectar to feed some more of them.

Below is my first attempt at video blogging and my first use of You Tube. I look like a dork but here goes anyway...

Your Vlog was just fine! And of course you do not look stupid (and no where near 50!).
Our daughter and her DH do a podcast every week about toys and they were concerned at first but now , totally relaxed.
I am a written word type (Punny!) and not wanting to venture into video.
I sometimes get caught in the eye of a live streaming event at a toy show or con, cannot be helped.
The birds are cute but scary!

There is absolutely no way you are going to be 50. Get out of town!!

You are so cute Dot and so very brave. I am not embracing this vlogging concept at all...it scares the heck out me. My nasal voice doesn't do well on video at all. :)

Maybe I'll make my kids vlog...there's a thought!

P.S. I had a bird experience like that at the zoo one year and it freaked me out. I'm feeling so sorry for your daughter in those photos.

Thanks everyone for your sweet comments! Looks can be deceiving. I may not look 50 but my joints are telling me I'm closer to 80!!! LOL.

I hope to do a little prep work for my next Vlog, whenever that will be...maybe if I can get Freckles or thew new pup on camera!

You girls are so kind!

Dot!! Just watched your Vlog, it's brilliant!! You don't look stupid AT ALL....or 50 for that matter :o) I do think you're very brave though....I won't even post a self-photo on my blog....despite a friend trying to talk me into it for ages :D Can't wait to see Freckles on the Vlog sometime....Aaarrrooooo!
Oh, and i'm SO feeling your daughter's pain, hehe...I once visited Trafalgar Square and a cheeky pigeon sat on my head and flapped it's wings...i've had a bird phobia eversince! Things with wings: generally pretty to look at but I don't want them on my head- EVER!!
Kisses fur your dawg xx

Oh, and i'll keep you posted about Beagadoon's release date....that Petey is one funny Terrier!

Dot- You sound and look great! You did a great job:-) Inspired me to try it too. I posted my first vlog entry just now. Eeek! It took me way longer to make a 40 second video than it would have to create several blog posts! ha. I think I'll stick to writing.

Your video is so bright. My web cam makes everything look really dark. I'll have to play around with it some more.

Nice hearing your voice!

How cool is that video? I wish I could figure that out!
The birds-you all are brave-I am not a bird fan, unless they are iron, or doves in the yard that fly away, not at me...
Thanks for stopping by my blog-I love visitors! Come back any time!!

I love the look on her face when they all got in her hair. They're great pictures.

You go, Dot! You are way braver than I am. I think it's so neat to watch people's vlogs. It put a face and voice to the person behind the blog. I hope I look as young as you do when I reach 50!
