Did I Offend Someone?

I lost a follower today and when you only have 19 to begin with and you lose 1, it seems rather a large percentage. I hope I didn't offend anyone. My guess is that I don't update enough. I used to update just about daily and then life got in the way. I wonder if there is any way of getting that follower back.......

I plan on getting back to my blogging roots once the school year comes to an end and a portion of my volunteer duties are over with until August when I assume my new position as Secretary of the Band Parent Association at my kids' high school. I purposely took the position of the head of the baked goods table last summer just so I'd be helping out the band without taking on a lead position. For some odd reason, that didn't work and they asked me to be secretary because "they are aware that I spend a great deal of time in front of a computer" and then they also offered to relieve me of my job as the "bake table lady". I hope I don't disappoint as the secretary. Thank goodness it will not require me to speak in front of all of the parents again - that part of the best part!

Tomorrow is another blogging day and I even may have pictures to put with my day's entry. I actually have my Skywatch photo ready!! Some days I do have it all together...

Hi Dot! Same thing happened to me the other day, too... and I currently only have 7 "official" followers!! :-)
Though, I have a bunch of people that tell me they "love my blog and read it all the time" but they're not bloggers themselves (mostly family and friends), so don't have a blogger account to label themselves as followers.
Oh well... I don't blog daily anymore, either. Seems I can't - sometimes it's just life, like you said. But up here, it's also internet quality - it can be frustratingly slow (and it's not even dial-up)!

I removed the following widget from my blogs. I have a few followers, and I'm sure there are others who read my blog who aren't listed as followers. For me, I follow many blogs by having them saved in my favorites, rather than listing myself on their blog as a follower.

Do not give it a second thought Dottie!
People sometimes clean out their Follow lists like a closet, here , Twitter ,My Space all over the web.
Sometimes they just closed THEIR acct. and they are done with that activity and are gone from all the places they followed.
I have to say that I do notice when the follow # goes up or down on Twitter but it is not because of anything , I stop following people sometimes because their tweets are not interesting to me or they post all the time about nothing filling my page.

The worst is when you get an email that someone unsubscribed to your blog... and it's one of your personal friends that you know in real life!! LOL! I don't usually worry about that stuff, but it does bother me when they are someone I actually know. I think for the most part people just can't keep up with everything.

I always think I have to blog everyday or the world will end:-) The one time I forgot about it and went out of town... I got the most hits ever! So now I don't worry about it as much and just post when I can. At least you aren't an addicted slave like me:-)

Oh sweetie, I don't think you could offend anyone if you tried. Don't worry about stuff like that. Blog for yourself, isn't that what we are supposed to do?? If you are doing it for any other reasons, then my friend, I think we may be in it for all the wrong reasons.

Hugs♥

Don't you even worry about that for one second : ). Who knows where they go! Everyone is so busy right now since it is the end of the school year. You will do EXCELLENT at your job. Any group would be lucky to have you Dot!

Thanks for the sweet comments everybody.

Like Michele said, if I'm blogging for any other reason than to document tidbits of my life, then I am in it for the wrong reason.

Dot,

You need to be like me and not even notice when you lose a follower! :) I guess I figure my blog was made for family and friends and if others want to join me on my journey, that's great. If not, I'm cool with that too. :) The ironic thing is that most of my family that reads my blog don't "follow" it or leave comments. I know they read it though because they've already heard all my stories before I can tell them at family gatherings. :) Darn them!
