Could very well be another birthday for our guy to look like this.... Here's hoping Freckles will be wearing his birthday hat come February 1, 2011.
He has pancreatitis but it seems that the combination of fluids, antibiotics, and anti-nausea medications have really turned my little guy around. We saw him tonight and there is life back in his eyes and I swear he was smiling. The girls at the vet's office are smitten - he's quite the ladies man there.... They are enjoying his "song" - he had been completely quiet since he got sick.
Our gift is some more time and if it's a week, a month, or a year I'll take it!!!

Oh Dot! I am so very happy you will have more time with your Freckles. He is such a beautiful part of your family. How is Colleen handling all of this?
Becky, Coll's doing okay with all of it I think. She's knee-deep in homework already. It may help also that she's a bit removed from it. Danny's been a real trooper though, carrying Freckles from house to car and car to vet. He's been such a help.....
This is a wonderful update. Hope he is feeling much better. Continued good wishes and hugs for Freckles!
I am so glad to read that Freckles has returned home and is feeling better. Every moment with an elderly Dog is a gift.
how is Freckles doing? He is such a handsome dog! There is never enough time with our beloved pets...
OH what a sweet picture of Freckles... I hope you have as much time as you can get with him. I know how hard it is when you have advance notice that your time is becoming short - that's what happened with my cuddlebug dalmatian. I ended up getting an extra month with him, and I cherished every single day of our time together. :)
